At the very base of these earrings are a textile embedded with the long history of the Cordillera weavers, whose weaving patterns reflect the colorful heritage of each tribe. These fabrics utilize natural spools made from fiber and a color dyes that come from plants. Weaving is usually done by the women and is one of their sources of income. Meanwhile, the significance of the color red is associated with life and strength. Add some beads and you’ve got a true work of art.
